| Dr. Emile du Plessis
Dr. Emile du Plessis qualified as a veterinarian at Onderstepoort in 1981 after obtaining his B.SC degree from Stellenbosch.
He worked in mixed practices in Caledon and Riversdale / Stilbaai and in England before joining the WAHG team in 2002.
He specialises in small animal medicine and -surgery in Paarl and handles the clinic in Franschhoek.
Emile is married to Elsa and they have three children.
|Dr. Egbert Compion
Dr. Egbert Compion has a keen interest in small and exotic animal medicine and surgery. He has a particular fondness for reptiles and has been keeping and breeding reptiles from the age of ten.
After completing his veterinary degree at Onderstepoort in 1999, he travelled and practiced in the United Kingdom for the next seven years. Upon return to South Africa he opened and managed a busy after hour emergency clinic in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town before joining WAHG in Paarl in 2011.
When he’s not at work, you’ll find him amongst the reptiles in his collection or the indigenous trees in his garden and spending family time with his wife and two children.
|Dr. Marinette van Deventer
Dr. van Deventer obtained her veterinary degree from Onderstepoort in 2005 after which she worked at Jakaranda Animal Hospital in Pretoria for a year.
She married Tommie van Deventer in 2006 and they moved to the UK for 2 years. During this time she worked as a small animal clinician in various practices gaining very valuable knowledge in especially small animal medicine.
She has worked at WAHG in Paarl since May 2009. When she is not working she loves to spend time with her husband, family and friends.
